“Questions are the keys that cause
the secret doors of the psyche to swing open.”

Clarissa Pinkola Estés

As a coach, artist, teacher and facilitator, I understand the art of asking powerful questions. I have training and wisdom and expertise. But all that lacks meaning unless it yields fruit for the people I serve. My clients have found success on broadway, in movies and tv shows, written solo work and novels, launched careers, changed careers, started their own businesses and finished passion projects.

One-on-One Sessions

  • 60 + 90-Minute Sessions

One-on-one sessions are tailored to your needs. If you have an audition, like, tomorrow, we’ll work fast. Sixty focused minutes can yield big results. A ninety-minute session ensures that we’re not watching the clock, and many of my clients prefer the longer format for that reason. One-off coaching is great for established clients, because we have already found our rhythm together. If you’re new to me, consider booking a package as a first step to finding that rhythm.

  • 5-Session Packages

Buying a package not only saves you money on the hourly rate, it allows us to work in a way that will help you achieve a goal that’s a bit longer-term than the last-minute audition you just got. Maybe you’ve booked a role and you want to do some intensive prep before the first rehearsal, maybe you’re in a rut and you want some fresh eyes on your well-worn material. In the first five sessions together, we establish rapport, build trust and get you going in the right direction.

  • Dialect Coaching

Learn the basics and discover the nuances of a dialect of your choice. If you’re prepping for a role that requires a dialect, I recommend booking a 5-session package, unless you already have a solid handle on the dialect’s sound substitutions. Dialect sessions can also be used by those seeking to reduce their native accent for roles, professional speaking engagements, or personal goals. The aim is to enhance your vocal flexibility, while honoring your natural sound.

  • College Audition Coaching

I have sat behind the table at thousands of college auditions and I understand what programs are looking for when assessing an audition. Do you feel good about your choice of material, ready and able to make adjustments in the moment, and more importantly, are you prioritizing your mental health and equanimity as you navigate the process? I can help with all that. Book a free consultation — mom and dad are welcome to join — to see if we are a match.

Actor Coaching FAQs

  • Great question. Teaching is often about skill acquisition, imparting new knowledge. Coaching concentrates on how you’re using the skills you have and offers individualized attention to enhance your success and the return on investment you want to see in your career or artistic process.

  • Only you know the answer to that. Usually within a few sessions, you can tell if you and your coach are a good fit. Generally speaking, a good coach starts by asking what your goals are, how you learn best and what you want to be held accountable for. Remember that coaching is a two-way street and you often get out what you put in.

  • I do not have a one-size-fits-all process or philosophy. One of my super powers in life is my ability to see each person who crosses my path as an individual, and to collaborate with them in a way that leverages that uniqueness. The one thing I know for sure is that being an acting teacher and coach is a higher calling for me — I show up for our sessions with a deep sense of service and purpose.
